Playwright & Co-Producer
e.k. doolin, she/her, is a theatre artist living in the Midwestern United States, near St. Louis, Missouri. Her artistic aesthetic centers around humor, humility, and curiosity. She has had her work produced by the Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble, Prison Performing Arts, The Center for Creative Arts, The Heartland Theatre, York College of Pennsylvania, Geneva Theatre Guild of New York, and Slackline Productions of London, England. She is an alumnus of the 2023 St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s Confluence Writers Group, where she developed her play Titania and Oberon’s Epic (therapy) Road Trip. Her play Waiting for Hecate was produced by the Prison Performing Arts Alumni Theater Ensemble in 2023 and was also featured in the 2024 Region 3 One-Act Division at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival
Allison Sexton
as Philoten
A St. Louis native, Allison Sexton (she/her) is a recent graduate of the BFA Acting program at Missouri State University. Most recently seen in Tent Theatre's Crimes of the Heart as Chick, Allison's Missouri State credits include Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind and Men on Boats, as well as Literary Lamentations with Aglæcwif Productions. This is her Contraband Theatre debut!
Rachel Bailey
as Lycorida
Rachel Bailey (she/her) is thrilled to be making her Contraband debut. She recently finished a tour of Puss In Boots with the St Louis Rep's Imaginary Theatre Company and was just seen as Susan in [title of show] with Prism Theatre Co. Favorite credits include Triassiq Parq, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Godspell (Stray Dog), Gremlins: A Live Parody (Cherokee Street Theater), Coupler (Tesseract). Outside the theatre, Rachel can be found knitting, photographing her dog, crafting, and drinking too much coffee. Love always to her friends, family, and Benny for putting up with her constant shenanigans.
Theresa Comstock
Lighting Designer
Theresa Comstock (she/her) is a lighting and scenic designer who worked in both Chicago and Kansas City prior to joining the faculty at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in the St. Louis Metro Area.
Some of her favorite productions to have worked on were Horse Power at The Coterie in Kansas City, Green Book Wine Club Train Trip at the Kansas City Melting Pot Theater, Ubu Roi with the Organic Theater Company in Chicago, and Of Mice and Men with Monomoy Theater in Cape Cod. Theresa earned her MFA in Theater Design and Technology from Northern Illinois University.
Jacob Juntunen
Producer & Artistic Director
Before Jacob Juntunen was a father heading the playwriting MFA at SIU and living in St. Louis, he was a 1970s California kid watching PBS puppets. In the 1990s, Jacob was a high school dropout making sandwiches at a deli in Portland. The teachers at Clackamas Community College and Edward Albee saved him. In 1998, he saw a VHS tape of Tadeusz Kantor’s theatre and that made him live in Poland repeatedly. His plays include See You in a Minute (Circle Theater Awards Outstanding New Play nomination, 2024), 18 Months After November, Hath Taken Away, In the Shadow of His Language, and Joan’s Laughter. Tress Kurzym
DIrector & Costume Designer
Tress Kurzym (she/her) is a multi-hyphenate theatre creator whose work has been seen at regional and international theatres including the Alley Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theatre, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Recently, Tress worked as an Intimacy Director with the St. Louis MUNY (Waitress) and the St Louis Shakespeare Festival (Twelfth Night). Tress heads the Theatre Education Program for the Department of Theatre and Dance at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she has the great privilege of mentoring the next generation of theatre educators. Tress’ other roles include that of a spouse to Kevin and mother to Charlie and Chloe. Though she has received mixed reviews, Tress is committed to these recurring roles and considers them to be her most fulfilling and creative in her career.
Jade Cash
as Marina
Jade Cash (she/her) a 23-year-old actor, hails from Denver, Colorado, but currently resides here in St. Louis. With a passion for the performing arts, recent credits include: Wayward with First Run Theatre, WRENS with Prism Theatre Company, Little Women with Belleville Theatre Company, and The Prom with Take Two Productions. Jade looks forward to a promising future, with even more opportunities like these; to collaborate with fellow artists and tell compelling, unforgettable stories.
Erik Kuhn
Scenic Designer & Technical Director
Erik Kuhn (he/him) has been technical director, designer, carpenter, electrician, fight director, stage combat instructor, and/or actor on projects with professional companies and educational institutions all across St. Louis. Recent credits include Set Design for Albion's Woman in Mind and Fight Director for The One Act Play That Goes Wrong at East Central College and Hamlet with Saint Louis Shakespeare; he also spent time this past summer instructing at Dueling Arts International's national teacher trainer workshops.
Sadie Harvey
Intimacy Coordinator
Sadie Harvey earned her degree in theatre performance from SIUe in May 2022. Her recent roles include Cynthia in Wrens, Angel in Finale, and Beliné in The Imaginary Invalid. In addition to acting, Sadie has stage-managed Much Ado About Nothing at SIUe and intimacy-directed and stage-managed The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia for SIUe SETO. She also stage-managed A Little Night Music at Union Avenue Opera and most recently assistant-directed [title of show] with Prism Theatre Company.
Jack Gulley
Stage Manager
Jack Gulley (he/him) (Stage Manager) is excited to be working on this production. He is a recent Theater Education graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Previously, he has directed Cabaret and stage managed Flora Circular both at SIUE. Thanks to his friends and family.
Zahria Moore

Zahria Moore (she/her) is a theatre maker, educator, and administrator from the metro Atlanta area. Zahria is a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, a proud graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park, and a Forever Mizzou Tiger. Regional credits include: #MizzouMade (co-production, Bread & Roses MO and A Call to Conscience); All My Sons (New Jewish Theatre); Death of a Salesman, Fireflies (St. Louis Black Repertory Company); Four Wives and a Will (SheATL Summer Theatre Festival); Corduroy (Larry D. De'Janna Hand
Sound Designer
De’Janna Scales-Hand (she/her) is a performer/technician from St. Louis, MO. She received a BA in Theatre Performance and Digital Storytelling. De’Janna was a participant in the St. Louis Black Repertory Company Professional Fellowship Program. She sound engineered Eubie! and Death of a Salesman. Sound designed/engineered The Adventures of Frankie Muse Freeman: Freedom Fighter, wig/hair designed Skeleton Crew, and assisted many set builds in the Shop. De’Janna has also held contracts with Metro Theater Company, Soul Siren Playhouse, Come From Away National Touring Company, Bread & Roses MO, STL Shakespeare Festival, SheATL Theatre Festival, and Stages St. Louis.
Maribel Paty
Lobby Display Assistant
Maribel Paty is an artist living in the MetroEast. She enjoys gardening, reading, and playing chess. She is an active member of a First Tech Challenge robotics team and her school Ethics Bowl
