Tress Kurzym

Tress Kurzym (she/her) is a multi-hyphenate theatre creator whose work has been seen at regional and international theatres including the Alley Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theatre, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Recently, Tress worked as an Intimacy Director with the St. Louis MUNY (Waitress) and the St Louis Shakespeare Festival (Twelfth Night). Tress heads the Theatre Education Program for the Department of Theatre and Dance at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she has the great privilege of mentoring the next generation of theatre educators. Tress’ other roles include that of a spouse to Kevin and mother to Charlie and Chloe. Though she has received mixed reviews, Tress is committed to these recurring roles and considers them to be her most fulfilling and creative in her career.
